At The Herb Farm we have an extensive range of herbs and cottage garden plants and considerable variety of old roses. However, we also stock a number of specialist plants.

Scented Pelargonium 'Brunswick'Bay Trees. These were once considered tender and at risk over winter in the UK. Now, once a few years old they will happily grow outside in a sheltered garden and can grow into large bushes/trees. They respond well to regular clipping to keep them in shape.

Olive Trees. These do require a sheltered spot outside and if planted should be in free-draining soil. They are probably best grown in containers and so can be moved into shelter for the colder periods. They will survive with surprisingly little water.

Auriculas. Plants from this group have been grown and exhibited for hundreds of years by enthusiasts, and there are several hundred varieties. We grow a small range and sell them in antique terracotta pots. They need careful watering, and grow best in a free-draining compost. They also require feeding prior to flowering. They prefer a shady, airy position.

Scented Pelargoniums. These plants all have a distinctive fragrance to their leaves as well as attractive flowers, usually shades of pink or white. They are best grown in containers as they will not survive the winter outside so they are ideal fragrant subjects for a conservatory. Trim regularly to keep in good shape and encourage a bushy habit.

Citrus, Figs, Vines, Mulberries and other specimen plants are obtained on a seasonal basis.
